Introduction
On 1.9, 1.12, 2.13 and 3.7 2008, I helped my friend Toby Germano record tracks for his four song EP, touchingly titled "Inconsolable." Being one-take Toby, he was able to get a LOT done, and most of the takes were keepers. In a very spooky twist of fate, while we were recording "Baby, You're Crazy", Toby's dad called and left a message saying R. had hung herself. R. is the girl "Baby, You're Crazy" is about. As Toby relayed the news, he had an ashen look on his face and we all felt somehow wrong. To calm the nerves and toast a life lost, we headed across the street for a small bottle of Johny Walker Black.
